How do Waterless Specialist Valeting clean my caravan?
Exterior – If a caravan is left dirty the surface finish will soon deteriorate as pollution degrades the gel coat finish. Always make sure the caravan is cleaned, sealed, polished and protected.
There are 3 stages to maintaining the external appearance of your caravan
1) Preparation – We carefully check all areas of the caravan for damage and report our findings.
2) Cleaning & Polishing- We use our own Waterless product range that will clean and polish a caravan to a high shine. Do not use usual household washing up liquid for this process as they generally contain salt which can harm the aluminium panels and mouldings.
3) Protecting – Once the van has been cleaned and polished our protectant will keep it in first class condition. Using our system is an important step in preserving the finish of the fibreglass.
Caravan Windows
These are double glazed Polyplastic acrylic windows which, when closed seal onto rubber mouldings around the window aperture. These are cleaned with our Waterless product range with no harmful effects unlike products such as petrol, acetone or other solvents that will cause damage.
Frequency of our service
This obviously depends on where the caravan is stored. If stored under trees your caravan may require cleaning every month at certain times of the year. In a cleaner environment, cleaning every 2-3 months should be sufficient and if you are in the fortunate position of being able to store the caravan under cover, our service every 6 months should suffice.
If a caravan is not maintained this way the surface finish may deteriorate. The first sign of this is a dulling of the surface finish, which may be more pronounced on the areas where the most wear occurs, ie the front and back panel where all the water running off the roof flows down.
The dulling of the surface is the first sign of an inadequate routine and the caravan should immediately be thoroughly cleaned, sealed, polished and protected. Our product range will place an UV protectant on your caravan, stopping fading.
